Rison Titanium Bolts: Anodizing Color Principle
First, we electrochemically immerse the titanium bolts in a specialized electrolyte bath. Next, we carefully apply a controlled voltage across the bath, actively driving oxygen ions from the solution toward the bolt surface. Consequently, these oxygen ions react directly with the titanium metal substrate, forming a growing, transparent titanium dioxide (TiO₂) layer. Critically, as we precisely increase the applied voltage, we simultaneously increase the thickness of this oxide layer. This growing thickness then causes light waves reflecting off the top surface of the oxide layer and light waves reflecting off the titanium metal interface underneath to interfere with each other. Therefore, specific wavelengths of light are constructively reinforced while others are canceled out, producing visible colors like bronze, gold, blue, purple, or green based solely on the oxide layer’s thickness. Finally, we seal the porous oxide layer, effectively enhancing its corrosion resistance and locking in the vibrant, durable color created by this interference phenomenon.
